Meghalaya CM laid foundation stone for 3 road projects

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday laid the foundation stone the construction of road from Lumshyiap Bellafonte to New Shillong Township at Umsawli via Mawpat ( Rs 49 crore), construction including MBT of road from Bribah Mawpat to IAS Colony Umsawli (Rs 55 crore) and improvement including widening to 2-Lane standard of balance length of Shillong Diengpasoh Road from 14 km to 21.20 km (27.49 crore).

 

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said these three roads are very crucial and the tendering process of these road will take place in the next few weeks.

 

“These three roads are very crucial and the tendering process of these road will take place in the next few weeks. We should be able to start the work for these very soon. We expect the work to start in next 4-6 months, rains are coming ofcourse,” Sangma said.

 

“We want these roads to be completed very soon,” the CM added.

 

Also present on the occasion was Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong beside others.
