Shillong, Meghalaya: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today laid the foundation stone for Meghalaya’s first passenger ropeway project at Shillong Peak. This ambitious project, estimated to cost ₹175 crore, aims to provide stunning panoramic views of Shillong city.
The foundation stone for the project was initially laid by President Droupadi Murmu in January. This significant tourism initiative is expected to draw both domestic and international tourists, offering a scenic aerial link between Shillong Peak and Lawsohtun.
During the event, the Chief Minister handed over a second instalment of ₹1.5 crore to the Riat Laban Dorbar Pyllun as part of the project’s development.
