New Delhi, September 10, 2024: The Government of Meghalaya today made history by launching EasyLottery.in, India’s first fully digital lottery, in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Pravin Bakshi (IAS), Commissioner & Secretary – ERTS, Meghalaya State, and M. S. N. Marak, Director of Meghalaya State Lottery.
The official website, https://easylottery.in/, was also unveiled at the event. Offering a grand first prize of INR 50 crore, EasyLottery.in promises a seamless, transparent lottery experience from ticket purchase to prize disbursement.
Chief Minister Sangma praised the initiative for introducing transparency and professionalism to the lottery sector through digital innovation. “Lottery is purely a game of chance, and a transparent digital platform like EasyLottery ensures both individual and societal benefits. While many fall prey to online games and illegal betting apps, EasyLottery provides a responsible and rewarding alternative that benefits society through tax contributions,” said Sangma.
M. S. N. Marak emphasized the need for such an initiative in India, stating, “India, despite being digitally advanced, has had a gap in its lottery sector. With EasyLottery, we bridge this gap by offering a fully digital system for ticket sales, prize payments, and taxes, while maintaining the trusted motorised draw method to ensure fairness and transparency.”
Pravin Bakshi added, “EasyLottery focuses on trust, transparency, and legality. This platform will revolutionize lottery gaming in India, eliminating scams and money laundering while ensuring fun and benefits for all.”
