Meghalaya Government will hold a meeting with the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC) on December 7 at 4 PM. Informing this, Deputy Chief Minister incharge of Urban Affairs Sniawbhalang Dhar said the meeting will be held to resolve the Harijan Colony issue.
Talking to the media, Dhar said the HPC had requested for slight modification of the blueprint prepared by the state government.
“Therefore, we also from the government more or less are trying to adjust in such a manner so that we can resolve the issue,” he added.
Stating that the Government is expecting to resolve this issue within this year, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “The question of agree or disagree does not arise, let us meet first on 7th , only then we will know what the final decision the Government has taken.”
