Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday that the government is preparing a very detailed presentation to clear everybody’s doubt about the roster system.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said,“Therefore, we are going to have a cabinet presentation tomorrow evening. This will be followed by a meeting with MDA partners on May 18 and an All-party meeting on May 19, to discuss on the matter.”
He informed that in order to create a space where everybody is accommodated, the government has decided to hold a meeting with the other stakeholders including NGOs, church leaders and traditional heads next week.
“We intend to reach out to everybody to share what exactly is roster. The problem is that lots of people don’t understand what roster is actually, a roster is a very complicated yet a very simple thing but to understand it, it is slightly complicated,” the CM said.
On the VPP’s demand, the chief minister said, “See political parties can say whatever they want to say but a government has to follow procedure and procedure will be followed in all aspects.”
