Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday said the government is reforming the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) and the entire recruitment process by creating more recruitment boards to allow quick process of recruitment to take place.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “We are reforming the MPSC and entire recruitment process by creating more boards, we allowing quick process of recruitment to take place. When the health recruitment board came out, doctors appointments which were pending for five years, was completed within three months of the new health board coming in.”
He said the purpose is to enusre the recruitment takes place smoothly.
“In order to ensure the recruitment takes place smoothly, the creation of different boards will allow immediate implementation and recruitment and therefore what we are doing is part of the reform,” Sangma said. He said,”There were certain government schools, higher second schools which had principles who needed to be appointed and the case was pending for five years and MPSC were overloaded and to ensure there is no delay in appointments, we started new board precisely to reform the recruitment process.”
