In a shocking incident, the statue of JN Bawri in front of Bawri Mansion, Dhankheti in Shillong was attacked early this morning.
According to the information received, around 4:00 AM, unknown miscreants allegedly threw petrol bombs at the statue of JN Bawri. The bottle scattered upon impact, but thankfully, the statue did not sustain significant damage.
Police have already begun their investigation into the matter, and an FIR has been lodged at the Laitumkhrah police station.
The miscreants reportedly targeted an ATM booth in the Dhankheti area, pelting it with stones.
