NCC felicitate cadres for yeoman service to society during fight against COVID 19


National Cadet Corps (NCC), the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world, Commemorate the NCC day in a special felicitation ceremony organised at Raj Bhawan Shillong on Saturday.
The ceremony was graced by Satya Pal Malik, the Governor of Meghalaya.
As the country is under a grave crisis due to the threat posed by COVID-19, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in the North Eastern Region has been extending a yeoman’s service to the society as they fight against COVID 19 becomes mightier.
To recognize their efforts, selected cadets and Associate NCC Officers were felicitated by the Governor as the NCC youths have become the forerunner in this mighty battle.
At the onset of the ceremony, ADG, NCC Date NER Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, SM spoke about the contribution of NCC in its fight against COVID 19, even as he highlighted various activities of the organisation.
He further explained about NCC’s expansion plan to the Borders Areas as Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day announced NCC expansion in border areas and training of one lakh cadets
Governor Malik while presenting the certificates to the cadets and the Associate NCC Officers, appreciated their efforts in Nation Building and various social activities.
Further, he stressed on the contribution of NCC towards National Integration and in grooming disciplined and patriotic youth.
