Secretary, North Eastern Council (NEC) K. Moses Chalai on Thursday said the NEC has approved over Rs 10 crore for revamping Iewduh market.
Speaking to Mediapersons, Chalai said, “We are going to revamp Bara Bazaar (Iewduh market). We have approved but money is yet to be released.”
The long pending aspiration of the people of Shillong city to beautify the Iewduh market will finally see the light of the day with the North Eastern Council (NEC) funding over Rs 10 crore.
The Secretary NEC said the DIPR is being studied as the fund may be released within next two-three months.
