NPP-BJP plans horse-trading after Assembly election results: TMC

Opposition Chief Whip and TMC Vice President George B Lyngdoh on Monday has alleged that NPP National President Conrad K Sangma with support from BJP plans horse-trading after Assembly election results.

In a statement to the media, Lyngdoh said, “Conrad has already negotiated with their masters of Guwahati and Delhi. If TMC wins with an overwhelming majority as being yearned by the responsible citizens of the State, the BJP-NPP have already thought of an action plan to buy the TMC MLAs.”

Taking cognizance of a statement made by NPP National President during a rally at Adokgre, the TMC leader thanked NPP National President Conrad K Sangma for finally acknowledging that TMC is now the new political force.

Further, Lyngdoh said, “We thank Conrad for finally acknowledging that TMC is now the new political force and they have to buy TMC leaders to try and be back on Govt.”

Asserting that it is surprising that Conrad Sangma has come out with this statement, the TMC leader said, “Conrad has accepted that TMC will win many the majority of MLAs and realises that the NPP cannot depend on their own candidates to win the election.”
