NPP vote share also went to TMC and Congress: Zenith Sangma

SHILLONG, APR 19: AITC candidate and former Rangsakona legislator Zenith M Sangma has claimed that the vote share of the National People’s Party (NPP) has come to the TMC as well as Congress in the Lok Sabha elections held on Friday.

Speaking to media persons, Zenith has expressed confidence to win the Tura parliamentary seat despite the tough fight.

“Election is election, it has been a tough fight, but we have the edge, we are confident that we will win because there has been massive erosion from the NPP and from that vote share of NPP it has come to TMC as well as Congress,” he said.

Asked, Zenith said, “It has been the response of the people, we have seen there has been a mixed response in almost all the parts of Garo Hills.”

“Although it is unpredictable, from the response we have seen, we are confident and people are reposing their faith in the leadership of Mukul Sangma and hopefully we will sail through,” he added.
