Number of COVID-19 infections continues to increase in Meghalaya


Total COVID-19 cases – 7,165

Active cases – 2,411 active cases,

Recovered- 4,694

Died- 60

As COVID 19 cases continue to spike in Meghalaya with 128 new cases reported on Wednesday taking the total number of active cases to 2,411. In the last 24 hours, 88 patients have recovered from the viral infection. So far, 4,694 persons have recovered and 60 deaths reported.

From amongst the 128 new cases, 72 are from East Khasi Hills district, 33 from Ri Bhoi,  11 from West Garo Hills, 04 from East Garo Hills, , 03 from South Garo Hills, 01 from North Garo Hills and 02 each from West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia HIlls districts

East Khasi Hills district recorded the highest number of active cases with 1,693, 39 in East Jaiñtia Hills district, 199 in West Garo Hills district, Ri Bhoi 319, West Khasi Hills 11 , South West Khasi hills 17, West Jaintia Hills 42, South West Garo hills 41, South Garo Hills 13, East Garo Hills 19 and in North Garo Hills 18.
