Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday signed an MOU where in under the ‘One More Breath’ project, donation of beds and medical equipment will be provisioned to the 100 Bedded Hospital at Khliehriat.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed, “The project is worth Rs 150 Lakhs.”
As Meghalaya grapples with the increasing fatality rate amidst the second wave of COVID 19, this project aims to provide beds to patients with “moderate” Covid symptoms who require oxygen support. Timely treatment of such patients reduces the probability that their conditions will worsen and require intensive care.
The project is executed in association with 41er Club India, Round Table India Trust and supported by Shillong Round Table, Shillong Ladies Circle, GPRT 238 & DART 311
The MOU was signed in the presence of Minister and Khliehriat MLA, Kyrmen Shylla
