Minister in-charge Public Health Engineering (PHE) Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar on Thursday informed that Rs 8,700.00 lakh have been sanctioned for the implementation of the Greater Ampati Water Supply Scheme (GAWSS).
Replying in the Assembly, Tongkhar said that the physical progress is about 70 percent.
When Congress legislator from Ampati Miani D Shira wanted to know the reason for the work being stopped, the minister however said that status of the scheme is going on.
He informed that the department has submitted a proposal to revise the estimate during 2018-19.
“This proposal is under the active consideration of the government,” Tongkhar added.
The minister also assured that the government would tried its best to complete all pending projects which GAWSS is one of them.
