Power Minister AT Mondal on Thursday urged the people of the state to use electricity judiciously and avoid overloading, warning that it could lead to transformer failures and power disruptions during the festive season.
“I would request everyone that, though we are, as of now, comfortably placed as far as the availability of power is concerned, we should use it judiciously to avoid any untoward incidents. There may be chances of disruption in power supply due to transformer failure if overloading occurs. So, let us use power judiciously,” he said.
Extending his festive greetings, the minister added, “Wishing the people of the state a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I hope that, like this year, there will be no disruption of power next year as well.”
