Pro tem Speaker Timothy Shira administered oath of secrecy to 58 legislators including three women on Monday. The oath taking ceremony was organized at Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
However, the swearing in of the new MDA 2 Government will be on Tuesday.
The NPP won 26 seats in the recently concluded elections, while its ally, the BJP, won two seats.
11 legislators from United Democratic Party (UDP), 2 each legislators from PDF and HSPDP also joined the ruling alliance while two independents are supporting the Government.
With this the Sangma-led coalition increased to about 45. While opposition have only 14 MLAs, the TMC and Congress has 5 each, the VPP which refused to be part of any alliance won 4 seat
