The Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA) today announced to field former president of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Robertjune Kharjahrin as the common candidate for the up-coming MP election 2024.
It maybe noted that Robertjune Kharjahrin is former president of HYC who had earlier join UDP.
This decision was announced by chairman of the RDA Metbah Lyngdoh who is also the president of United Democratic Party (UDP) after the meeting of the RDA.
Speaking to media persons, Lyngdoh said that the decision was unanimous as both UDP and HSPDP have come to agreement to field Kharjahrin as its common candidate in the up-coming MP election.
Lyngdoh informed that their common candidate for the up-coming MP election 2024 will use the symbol of the UDP during the course of campaign and during the voting day.
“The UDP and the HSPDP from the beginning has decided to work together for the up-coming MP and MDC election 2024 and today in the RDA meeting we have unanimous decided to field Robertjune Kharjahrin as the common candidate for the MP election from Shillong Parliamentary Seat” said Lyngdoh.
