Richard Yanthan, an IAS officer from the 2020 batch, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills District in Baghmara. This posting was officially announced by C.V.D. Diengdoh, the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya in the Personnel & A.R.(A) Department, on August 9th. Prior to this, Richard Yanthan’s cadre was transferred from the Maharashtra cadre to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre by the Central Government.
