Rikman G Momin has been re-elected as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Meghalaya as part of the ongoing Sangathan Parv 2024-25 (Organizational Event).
The formal felicitation ceremony was held at the state BJP office and attended by George Kurian, Union Minister of State and National Observer, along with Anil Antony, BJP National Secretary.
During the event, George Kurian announced that AL Hek (MLA and Minister), Sanbor Shullai (MLA), and Ernest Mawrie (former State BJP President) have been elected as National Council Members.
Speaking to the media, Momin expressed his commitment to strengthening the party in Meghalaya. His leadership will steer the BJP’s state unit for the next three years.
Anil Anthony, the state incharge of BJP told Media, “Under State President Rikman G Momin leadership and guidance the party will be functioning in the next three years.”
“The president was earlier appointed only One and a half years ago, and during that time the president has done commendable work in the state. The number of booth penetration has increased almost three times under his leadership and I am very sure under his leadership we will have presence of the party in every Mandal and booths across the state. In the next state election we will have much better performance and bigger improvement than our two MLAs right now,” he added.
