Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said he would soon discuss with other education ministers of the country for streamlining the implementation of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) next month.
Rymbui who is schedule to attend the upcoming conference of education ministers in Gujarat, said, “I will try and talk with other education ministers on how to see that this issue of SSA could be streamlined.”
He informed that the upcoming conference of education ministers to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on June 1-2.
The Minister on Thursday informed that he had raised the issue related to SSA teachers with the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during his recent visit to the state.
“He(Pradhan) had assured to find ways and means to resolve the issue” Rymbui said.
He also assured that the state government will also continue to pursue with the Central government in order to ease this problem.
Meghalaya has witnessed frequent protests by the SSA teachers against the delay in the release of their salaries.
