The South Shillong Constituency legislator Sanbor Shullai today inaugurated and handed over the newly constructed school building of the Madan Laban Nepali Secondary School sanctioned under Meghalaya Government’s “Supporting Human Capital Development Project” in support of the Asian Development Bank. As part of the Birth Anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi, he recommended and initiated the sanctioning of Rs. 1, 60, 00,000 (Rupees One Crore Sixty Lakh) for the project.
Stating that the project will address the problems of the students especially from the economically weaker section, Shullai, informed that the school has also been provided with full Digital Computer Classrooms including computer sets, Digital Science Laboratory, Library Room, and Retrofitted desks and chairs in all the classrooms.
Apart from the school authorities, the program was also attended by officials of PWD, ADB, BJP members from 19 South Mondal, members of Seng Teilang Ki Kynthei and members of Seng Samla of Madan Laban and members of the MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency, teachers and members of the Managing Committee of the school.
