Sourav Ganguly suffers ‘cardiac arrest’

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president and former skipper Sourav Ganguly suffers a ‘mild cardiac arrest’ and was admitted to Woodlands hospital in Kolkata.
Reportedly, the 48-year-old former India captain complained of dizziness after a workout session at the gym on Saturday morning and was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital. He is scheduled to undergo further tests along with angioplasty.
Wishes and prayers for his early recovery started pouring in as soon as reports of Ganguly’s hospitalisation surfaced on social media.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted “Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!”
Virat Kohli tweeted: “Praying for your speedy recovery. Get well soon @SGanguly99.”
other cricketers and his fans too prayed for Ganguly.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah, in a tweet, said “I wish and pray for the speedy recovery of @SGanguly99. I’ve spoken to his family. Dada is stable and is responding well to the treatment,” Shah Tweeted.
