Speaker Thomas A. Sangma Stresses Safety and Progress in Meghalaya Assembly Building Construction

Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker, Thomas A. Sangma, assured on Thursday that the construction of the new Assembly building is being carried out with extra caution.

Emphasizing the importance of safety, Sangma stated that the project is progressing slowly to ensure there are no further issues. He noted that there is a changes design as well.

“We are taking it slowly and these change of design everything. So, we are making sure that the construction goes in. Nothing goes wrong in the construction. So here, leaving in fact, very soon in the third. Sorry, fourth of next month. We are going. We’re going to have high power committee at the site, so we will review again. And as I myself in my office I’m almost on a weekly basis. I’m monitoring the process,” The Speaker said.

Sangma further added that a high-power committee will conduct a review of the construction on December 4 at the site. Additionally, he personally oversees the project on a weekly basis to ensure that every aspect is thoroughly monitored and no mistakes occur during the construction process.
