Teachers association seeks appointment of CM to discuss pending issues


The Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers Association (KJDSTA) and Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ and Employees Association (GHDSTEA) have jointly sought an appointment of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

Requesting chief minister Conrad K Sangma to call them for discussing the various pending issues, in a statement issued on Friday, KJDSTA president Kular Kongjirem informed that both the associations have jointly sought an appointment with the chief minister but till now, he is yet to fix the date and time for the meeting.

“We, therefore, requested the chief minister to meet the deficit teachers as early as possible to enable the associations to raise and place the pending issues with him with a discussion,” he said.
The pending issues related to the arrears of the Revised Pay, the new rate of Death -cum- Retirement Gratuity (DCRG), the Retirement benefit schemes, the Modified Assured Career Progression Schemes (ACPS), the regular and monthly pay beside others.
