The three-day Shad Suk Mynsiem festival (‘the dance of peaceful hearts’), the annual festival of the Seng Khasi Kmie culminated on Monday.
The festival is held during the month of April where men, women and children, all dressed in traditional attires take part in the thanksgiving dance.
Marking the 112th edition of the festival, the biggest visual highlight of Shad Suk Mynsiem is the dance and accompanying music.
A host of dignitaries including Meghalaya Governor Phagu Chauhan, Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong, VPP MLA Brightstarwell Marbaniang, and former MLA Samlin Malngiang, among others attended the festival.
