TMC leaders rush to Shillong to welcome Dr. Mukul Sangma and 11 MLAs


The 12 legislators who came out from Congress on Thursday were formally welcomed to All India Trinamool Congress by its National leaders and Ministers Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhunia and Moloy Ghatak in Shillong.

While welcoming all the 12 legislators under the YTMC fold, Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhunia said,  “We came to greet you and pay our respect that you have stood beside the leadership of Trinamool congress to fight the forces who tries to destabilise the country , which is here to destroy the democratic fibre, the Indian democracy and Democratic norms.”

He further added, “We are tremendously happy that the very tall leadership of Dr. Mukul Sangma, the ex Chief Minister and Charles Pyngrope , the EX speaker and our MLAS colleagues have joined under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee in TMC family, their presence , their leadership and their experience will encourage the people of Meghalaya to come along with us and work in a big way. “

Stating that the legislators are working very keenly for the interest of the people of Meghalaya, the Minister of Water Resources Investigation and Development Government of West Bengal, Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhunia said, “…with their past history of the pro people programmes and different attitude to preserve democratic norms of the country. “

Meanwhile, Law Minister from West Bengal, Moloy Ghatak said , “In Meghalaya the TMC has become the main opposition party, our leader Avishek Banerjee is the General Secretary of All India Trinamool Congress and Member of Parliament and under his leadership we have come to Meghalaya for handing over the flags to our colleagues MLAs of Meghalaya who joined.”
