Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Tuesday informed that the SSA teachers will get their two month salaries next week.
Informing this, Sangma told Meghalaya News 24, “SSA Teachers Salary of two Months is being released next week”
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma along with Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma and Advisor to the Education Department HM Shangpliang on Tuesday met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the National Capital.
It may be mentioned that The All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association (AGHSSASTA) Central Body has urged the State government to release SSA Teachers’ three months pending salary which is due from the month of April to June 2023.
In a press statement, AGHSSASTA requested Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma to clear their pending salary and arrears in time.
“We would like to request our State Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K. Sangma and Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma to clear our pending salary and arrears on time and redress our grievances at the earliest,” the statement said.
