The United Democratic Party (UDP) has organized a meeting with legal experts to sensitize its elected representatives on the legal aspects pertaining to the state reservation policy.
The meeting was chaired by the UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh on Thursday.
UDP working president and cabinet minister Paul Lyngdoh informed that the meeting was held with legal experts in order to enable the party MLAs to understand the legal angle of the current controversies over the reservation policy.
“This is also done so that the party will be in a position to come up with a substantive and clear stand on both roster and reservation policy,” he added.
