The Voice of the People Party (VPP) has suspended Adelbert Nongrum for three years, citing his involvement in anti-party activities and a failure to provide a satisfactory response to a show cause notice issued on March 1, 2025.
In an official communication, VPP Vice President Dr. Kara H. Shen stated that Nongrum’s response was defensive, confrontational, and showed no remorse, further violating party discipline and principles. The suspension, enforced under Article III, Clause 5 of the party’s constitution, takes effect immediately.
During this period, Nongrum will be stripped of all party positions, prohibited from representing VPP in any public forum, and advised against actions that could damage the party’s reputation. The decision was taken following a detailed review by the State Executive Committee.
