55,189 students to sit for SSLC, 34,335 for HSSLC examination in Meghalaya

​SHILLONG, FEB 28: A total of 55,189 students will be appearing for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination and 34,335 students for the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) which will commence from March 1 and 4 respectively.

Addressing Media persons, the Education Minister said, Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is well prepared to check if there is any attempt for​ the question paper.

“MBOSE office is well prepared to check if there is any attempt for  ​the question paper leak, we will be having police, there will be officials, flying squad, supervising officers,” Sangma said.

 

“We are taking all measures to ensure smooth conduct of both the examinations,” he added.

 

While extending his best wishes to all students, who are going to appear for the two examinations conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education, the Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma said, “This examination will change the entire journey of your life and it is very crucial for each one of you. Therefore I urge every student to perform well, to concentrate and give less time to your mobile phones…..please make your institution, yourself, your community and your parents proud (by coming out with flying colours).

 

There are 108 centres for HSSLC examination and 159 centres for SSLC examination across the 12 districts of the state.
