SHILLONG, JUNE 12: Minister in-charge of education Rakkam A Sangma on Wednesday said that the state government has decided to call All Meghalaya SSA Non-Teaching Staff Association (AMSSANTSA) for talks.
Reacting to the 15 day’s ultimatum served by the Association to the state Government on June 11, the Minister said that the issues raised by the association are genuine and need discussion to resolve.
“The issues raised by AMSSANTSA are genuine hence the state government and the department will soon call leaders of the association for talks to discuss and deliberate on how to resolve their issues” he said.
The AMSSANTSA on 11 June had served 15 days to the state government and the education department to implement a new method in releasing salary to the employees failing which the association will resort to agitation including hunger strike.
