Meghalaya Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Monday said the state Government will distribute appointment letters to around 130 newly recruited Government LP School Teachers at the Dadenggre  next week.

Stating that a similar programme will also be organised at Shillong on February 6th, the Minister said, “Another 400 plus appointment letters will be issued for the Khasi Jaintia Hills region.”

Asked about the reason for the delay in distributing appointment letters in Dadenggre, he said, “The process was not completed because the result sheet we received was late so the process couldn’t be completed. “

On January 25, the state Government distributed appointment letters to 458 newly-appointed Government Lower Primary (L.P.) School Teachers in Tura.

This is the first-time recruitment following the implementation of the roster system.
