Congress ‘satisfied’ with presentation made by Govt on roster system

Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, Ronnie V. Lyngdoh, on Friday has expressed satisfaction with the detailed presentation made by the Government on the Roster System implementation in the state.

Speaking to reporters after attending an all party meeting on the Roster System, Lyngdoh said, the Government has clarified that there will be no discrimination against any community in the state.

“We are very happy as we have been assured that there will be no discrimination against any community, this misconception has been removed. So we are very happy as Indian National Congress because we are working for the interest of our young generations to ensure that our youths have a future in the state, our youths have faith in the system,” the CMP leader said.

The Congress leader further said that the implementation of the roster system is directed by the court and during the detailed presentation made by the Government several misconceptions were cleared.

“Chief Minister clarified very clearly that there will be no community that will be discriminated, the roster system is in place because all along after the reservation policy was enacted, there was no roster system in place, it has been very clear, and it has been clarified, so the young generation should not worry,” he said.

Lyngdoh said the Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has made a detailed explanation on the Roster System and there is no partiality to any community.

“ There will be no discrimination against any community as per the Reservation policy enacted by the Assembly will be followed in latter and spirit,” Lyngdoh added.
