SHILLONG, FEB 8: BJP leader and cabinet minister AL Hek on Thursday said that delay to announce the candidates will affect the performance of the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters, Hek said the central leadership of the party is yet to even call for a meeting to decide on the party ticket. “Therefore, how we will know who will be the candidates,” he said.
“I agree that the delay will have a negative impact on the party but what can we do, we cannot help it until and unless the decision is taken by the central leadership,” he added.
