Tura: The Ri Bhoi District Women’s football team will face their East Khasi Hills rivals in the women’s football finals of the Meghalaya Games 2024 in Tura.
One of the women’s semi-finals played today at the PA Sangma Stadium, Tura, between Ri-Bhoi District and Eastern West Khasi Hills District. Ri-Bhoi thumped their opponents 5-1 in a one-sided event.
Imaia Shylla was once again in top-form scoring 4 goals with Rimika Khongkai chipping in one. For the Eastern West team, Rympeibasuk Syiemlieh was the only scorer.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-finals, the East Khasi Hills women’s team beat South West Khasi Hills, 5-0. Inrilaidor Khongthaw scored two goals, with Melaribha Lyngdoh, Ibashembha Khongsit and Ideibanrishisha Kharpan contributing a goal each to the final score.
