SHILLONG, MAR 8: The Expert Committee on the Review of the State Reservation Policy, Meghalaya on Friday held its first physical meeting with senior officials of the state government here.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Justice (Retired) Mool Chand Garg.
The Expert Committee was constituted by the government on September 12, 2023.
Prior to this, the committee had various rounds of virtual meetings, an official statement said.
Thereafter, the Chairman and the Members visited the Office of the Expert Committee located in the Office Building of the Assistant Commissioner of Food and Safety, Lachumiere, Shillong.
The Members of the committee also had their meeting subsequently which arrived at some conclusion with regard to the future course of action, it said.
This committee has been formed to review the existing reservation policy as existing in the State of Meghalaya.
The next meeting of the committee is scheduled in the Month of April, 2024.
