In a major boost to the National people’s Party at Umsning Constituency, the former PDF MLA from Umsning Constituency, Jason Mawlong and the Former MDC of Umsning and, also, the Working President of UDP Ri Bhoi District, Donkupar Sumer on Friday officially joined the National People’s Party in the meeting held at Patarim Football Ground, Umsning.
The MLA of Umsning and the candidate of NPP party, Jason Mawlong along with the former MDC of Umsning are being welcomed to the party by the NPP State President and NPP MP of Rajya Sabha, Dr. W.R Kharlukhi.
The joining ceremony at from Ri Bhoi was also witnessed by the present of Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, Jirang MLA, Sosthenes Sohtun, Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Ngaitlang Dhar, former MLA of Umroi and others party leaders from the NPP party.
Thousands of NPP supporters from Umsning Constituency also attended the meeting witnessing the major boost to NPP party ahead of the state assembly election in the state.
National President of NPP and Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma said, “Jason has reposed his faith in the leadership of the NPP to take the constituency forward and he is committed to serve it for the 2nd term! Request the people to support him as our candidate for the upcoming elections.”
