Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Abhijit Kro on Saturday informed that a Khasi Guest house will soon be constructed at Diphu.
Addressing a gathering on the concluding day of Monolith Festival, Kro announced that for this the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) will allocate land soon at Diphu.
“Khasi king residence is there at my constituency and a khasi guest house will be built as soon as possible. We will give land at Diphu for building a khasi guest house,” he said.
Talking to Meghalaya News 24, he said, “We will talk to our CM sir and we will be giving a land for the Khasi Guest house at Diphu, till now decide on the size of the land after meeting with CM we will decide and inform KHADC.”
The member of the KAAC also informed that “The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council are trying to bring peace regarding the issue of boundary.”
He also requested the people of these two regions to live in harmony.
