Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Friday informed that the pending post Matric scholarship issue will be solved from today as the state Government has recieved the sanction order today from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the
release of 2nd instalment for the year 2022-23 of Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarships to Scheduled Tribe students during the current financial year 2023-24.
The Education Minister further said that an amount of Rs 41 Crore 25 Lakh has been sanctioned.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in his social media page wrote, “Amount for Post Matric Scholarships has been sanctioned by the Government of India which will be processed by the State Government and released to students of the state at the earliest.”
