​Meghalaya Government to involve private companies to ensure transparent recruitment in the Police department.

 

​With the Meghalaya Government intending to fill up around 3,000 posts in the police department, Director General of Police Dr LR Bishnoi said already invited tenders for the company who will conduct the transparent recruitment by utilizing upto date technology.

A 21 days time is given to finalize the bidder and by second week of February the process of tendering will be finalize, the DGP said.

 

“We have already invited tenders for the company who will conduct the transparent recruitment by utilizing upto date technology, we have given them 21 days time and after 21 days time the bidders will be finalize and once the tender is allocated to a particular company after that the advertisement will be done and the applications will be invited and the recruitment process will Start,” the DGP said.

 

Stating that so we will do it for the 3000 post and it will be the largest recruitment in the Meghalaya police so far, Dr. Bishnoi said, “In the second week of February we are thinking the process of tendering will be finalize, the name of the company will be finalize and after that at any time depending on the finalisation of the company we will issue the advertisement and we will give one month time to complete the process of application, advertisement, every other process related with the recruitment.”

 

Asked how the department is going to be benefited from this, the DGP said, the sanction strength of Meghalaya police is 17,500 out of that at present nearly around 3200 vacancies are still there and once this 3000 newly recruited constable will join the Meghalaya police, the Meghalaya police family will become wider and stronger.
