Meghalaya Police will be advertising for around 3100 police posts in a day or two. According to DGP LR Bishnoi this will be the largest recruitment in the history of Meghalaya Police.
Talking to media persons, Dr Bishnoi said Methods will be adopted to ensure transparency in police recruitment.
“The Private firms will install all the electronic gadgets in the recruitment ground, there will be transparency and absolutely there will be no scope for manipulation in this procedure, so we call it TRP- Transparent, Recruitment Procedure,” the DGP said.
He, further informed that the application app will be open on 1st April, and may be after election the recruitment process will begin in full swing.
“This will be the largest recruitment in the history of the Meghalaya police, no where earlier 3100 people were taken at one go in the recruitment, so the Meghalaya police will be further strengthened by another 3000 people,” Bishnoi added.
Francis G. Kharshiing, Inspector General of Police (R/PR / F&ES), Meghalaya, Shillong while informing on recruitment said The recruitment will be done in 5 different centres in the state.
“In a day or two we should be advertising for around 3100 police posts. For UB Sub inspectors 76 posts, for UB constables 1,255 posts, AB constables 1637 posts,” Kharshiing said adding “So the total posts is around 3100.”
The advertisement should come out within one or two days and the online application will start from 1st April,” the officer said.
“This time the government wants to reach out to the people, so we will be having recruitment in five different centres of the state. Mawiong 1st Battalion, Goeragre 2nd Battalion, Sahbsien 3rd Battalion, Sohpian 4th Battalion, Williamnagar 5th Battalion,”
