Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Tuesday said nobody on earth will say no to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “Nobody on earth will say no to NEP except the extra exceptional individuals who are fit to travel in the Chandrayaan III.”
“This NEP comes up after long discussion and research to bring up the standard of education at the global standard. Who will say no? I think only an exceptional person is the only one who will say no to NEP,” he said.
Sangma said that the government leaves it to the wisdom of the management and heads of the different colleges, who are yet to implement the NEP.
“The management has the authority (to take actions against teachers who are boycotting the NEP). As for all government institutions, there is no issue. Therefore, we leave it to the wisdom and head of the institutions they know better,” he said.
