Expressing doubt about BJP’s performance in the upcoming 2023 Assembly election, three Time legislator and former minister J.A. Lyngdoh has predicted that BJP is likely to win only one seat in the State.
Lyngdoh, who resigned from BJP to contest from Congress in the upcoming Assembly poll said, that South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai is the only winning candidate for the saffron party, even as he has his apprehension about five time BJP legislator AL Hek returning back.
“To me what I could see if Sanbor still stick with BJP, then Sanbor is 100 percent sure to win, rest I don’t see,” the former BJP leader said.
Asked what about Hek, the former minister however said it will depend on the performance of his nephew Rocky Hek, who will be contesting against him A.L. Hek from an NPP ticket.
“That you ask from Bah Hek and not from me, that depends on the performance of his own nephew, because his own who was his right hand man is going to contest against him from NPP, so it will not be easy for him, it will be a very tough fight,“ Lyngdoh added.
