Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma has informed that the process to constitute the State Education Commission will be completed in the next few weeks.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said, “We are in the process of appointing the chairperson and members of the Commission. The search committee is already on the job to complete the entire process.”
He said the government is waiting for a search committee to shortlist the names for appointment of the chairperson.
Sangma informed that after the budget session, a meeting had been convened by the Chief Minister to speed up the matter.
“Once the commission is constituted we will be able to go into the different subjects and they will advise the department on what needs to be done,” the minister said.
