Rain playing spoiler: Me.gong festival postponed to December 8

‘Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day.’

Rain plays spoiler as the musical performances scheduled for the first day of the Me.gong festival postponed  due to the incessant rainfall.

The attendees at the event were disheartened as the first day of the festival was postponed, however, the organisers were prompt to reschedule the musical performances.

 

According to the update issued by the organisers, the musical performances scheduled for December 7 will now be held on December 8 and 9th.

The update from the organisers said, “Due to unpredictable weather conditions, we’ve got a schedule tweak for you!

Day 1 of the Me’gong Festival unfortunately had to bow out, but don’t worry, we’ve got some exciting news to share: All the Main Stage performances and our incredible lineup of artists set for Day 1 are now shifting gears and making their grand entrance on Day 2 and Day 3!”

Assuring that the festival vibes won’t miss a beat, the Food Stalls, Cultural Programmes, Competitions, and every other awesome activity are all running as planned.

Residents of Meghalaya have been greeted with overcast skies with isolated to scattered rain since Wednesday evening. This has led to further dip in Mercury level causing fall in the temperature.

Over the week, similar weather is predicted for Assam and Meghalaya.

 

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Guwahati has forecast that the state will continue to experience isolated to scattered rainfall until December 10.
