Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Wednesday urged the need to give a chance for the peace talks with the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC).
“Let us give the peace talk a chance and let us hope that it proceeds as per plan,” Rymbui said. He denied that there was any stalemate in the process.
Rymbui said that preliminary talks have taken place with the outfit. “It is not a question of coming and going back to Bangladesh, it is a question that the talk has started but they have to hold meetings between themselves,” he stated.
Rymbui said that he is not ready to comment anything until a concrete decision or resolution has been arrived.
