Senior BJP legislator and the national executive member of BJP AL Hek on Friday said there should not be any differences between any tribe.
The BJP recently had a meeting to discuss Roster system implementation in the state.
“The high court says very clearly, either the Government or the legislators means the Assembly should take a call on the roster system, therefore, the mind of the BJP is very clear we are all brethren, we are all residing in the beautiful state of Meghalaya and there should not be any differences between any tribe,” Hek said.
“All the tribes have been given justice,” he added.
Stating that there has to be one cut off date, Hek said, “Every political party, every legislator they have their own observation, so BJP has its own observation and when there will be MDA meeting, we will give our suggestions and views.”
The BJP legislator further said, “…Do what is the best, give justice to all the tribes of Meghalaya without bothering what others are saying. Do whatever is beneficial for the people.”
Earlier Chief Minister Conrad Sangma assured to hold a meeting to discuss the implementation of the roster system. He informed that after discussion takes place at the government level, the same will be expanded to political parties and stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the Voice of the People Party (VPP) has decided to organize its second phase of public rally on the roster system from May 2.
