Riya Das, the topper from Shillong Jail Road Boys’ H/S School on Wednesday awarded certificate for appreciation in the form of memento along with a cheque of Rs 10,000/-, as a token of appreciation in memory of Late Sri Priti Das at a function held at the school premises.
Puranjan Das, Chief General Manager (Retired), presented the cheque in memory of his late father Sri Priti Kumar Das.
The institution extended its gratitude to Prashanta R. Das and Puranjan Das for their philanthropic and benevolent gesture towards the all-round development of the students of the school.
The Shillong Jail Road Boys’ H/S School also organized a farewell function for the students of class X and class XII on Wednesday.
The function was graced by President MC Dr. Malay Dey, Puranjan Das, Chief Manager (Retd), Hotel Pinewood, Osman J. Nongbri, MD Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd and his colleague Debasish Dasgupta and Bikramjit Bhattacharjee, ex- student of the school .
