Ruling National People Party leader and cabinet minister Rakkam A Sangma on Tuesday said the opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) will not make any impact in the Lok Sabha election.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said the opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) is not going to be a threat to the NPP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, to be held next year.
“I don’t think so because to have an impact on the entire state may be a dream for them (VPP) but it is very challenging for them,” he said.
He said the VPP is a new party. “They (VPP) have to groom and they have to be inspired because to be a politician, to be a leader and to run a political party it is a big thing,” Sangma said.
“For any political party just to make things change in overnight it is impossible. It will be a very difficult journey for any political party, for any individual and for any leaders,” he said.
