Governor Phagu Chauhan on Wednesday approved the list of executive members of the NPP-led KHDF executive committee in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
“The Governor has approved the list of 10 executive members,” KHADC chief Pyniaid Sing Syiem said.
The list includes the name of Congress leader PN Syiem as the new KHADC deputy chief executive member.
The other EMs are Gigur Myrthong, Grace Mary Kharpuri, Macdalyn Sawkmie Mawlong, Rangkynsai Kharbuki, Victor Ranee, Teirborlang Pathaw, Alvin Khyriem Sawkmie, Fantin Joseph Lakadong and Carness Sohshang.
Meanwhile, UDP leader and former chief executive member Titosstarwell Chyne on Wednesday was appointed as the new leader of opposition in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
A notification issued by the Secretary of the KHADC said that the Chairman Lamphrang Blah has recognized Chyne as the LO of the KHADC with effect from June 20.
